Why is it important to get a licensed professional locksmith?

All our locksmiths are required by the local government to submit identification and fingerprint information to ensure that they do not have any criminal background and can operate as a locksmith within a given area. By that, we emphasize that the locksmith we send to your location is legitimate and using his/her locksmith expertise for your protection.

Only a truly licensed locksmith can give you qualified advice and recommendations regarding physical and electronic security solutions to protect your personal and commercial investments. You can ask our locksmiths for his/her license number once they get there as a standard policy.

How much am I looking at in your locksmith services offered?

There's a service call plus labor charge which depends on what needs to be done. Since everything depends on the situation—including lockouts, broken locks, security upgrades, etc. - you  can get a free estimate when you call (646) 490-0521 or fill out our contact forms to get 10% online discount. You will get a written invoice from our locksmiths once they reach your area. As a standard, you will need to approve the work that needs to be done before they can start.

Can I request a key that can fit all my locks?

Definitely yes! It's called a master key. All we have to do is to make sure that your key fits all locks in your desired locations, whether at home or in the office, so that you don't have to bring key sets for each lock. Call us at (646) 490-0521 anytime and New York Locksmith will show you how it’s done!

Is there such a key that cannot be duplicated?

Well yes. Keys that are marked "Do Not Duplicate," "Do Not Copy," or "Unlawful to Copy" can't be legally duplicated without an authorization form from the owner or legal representative.

New York Locksmith will have to respect those markings. Nonetheless, we can also create restricted key locks such as Medeco or Keymark locks according to your preferences. Call us at (646) 490-0521 for more details!
